I came across this Calliandra while visiting Sea World in sunny San Diego, California. I have always liked the look of the "Pink Powderpuffs" because they differ from the usual flower form. I also have fond memories of my grandmother's Calliandra overhanging her second story landing, pink powderpuffs bobbing lazily up and down in the Costa Mesa breeze. What vivid memories this brought me!
